One of the most famous moves in commodities has to be the Gold market climb past $850 an ounce. Interest rates were extremely
high, inflation was very high, the stock market was weak and Gold appeared to be the best investment around. Gold moved from $225 to
$850 within about a year. A staggering move. And, of course, the market dropped very quickly afterwards. By today's terms, we would
probably think someone had to be nuts to buy Gold at $850, but that is greed and a speculative bubble at its finest.
